Post 6_Postgraduate Studies

In this moment, I don’t really know if I want to keep on a specific line of architecture, but now I’m on the technology line that this university offers to have your “specialty”.

One of the things that I always say when someone asks me what I will do when I finish university, it’s that I want to keep studying.  I think that it’s so important to improve our knowledge to be better professionals in the future, so I think that I want to do a Master on Architecture when I finish this career.

The principal reason to do this Master, is that I think that society and our way to make cities change every time, so architecture changes too. In this way, I think that the architects must be in constant discussion of the way that we are doing architecture in different contexts, so I think that master on architecture is the best one to keep on discussion about those topics. Besides, I really love teaching people, so I want to be university teacher and share my knowledge.

I think that I’d like to study in Chile, but in another university, because I want to know more about another schools, I’d like to study this master like part-time course, because I want to work immediate, I finish my studies.

Post 5_My Future Job

The kind of job that I’d like to have when I finish my studies is in an architecture office. I think that I can start in that to improve my professional experience. But my dreamed job in a future is to have my own architecture’s office with my friend and partner Xaviera. If you ask me what kind of architecture I’d like to project (outdoors or indoors) I think that it’s both of them.

Previous of that, obviously, I’d like to study an architecture’s major to improve my projecting skills and in a future to teach in university like part time to share my knowledge. I think that it’s so important to share all of that you’ve known to form new professionals with a perspective of sustainable architecture and innovation respect of this discipline, because in this university there are so many old teachers that don’t like to explore new solutions about technology and  new opportunities that this field offers to improve habitability of people.

As an architect, I think that you must to travel to know another cities and its architecture, because you can take new experiences of another kinds of architecture related to different contexts, weather, and other elements that are related to an architecture or urbanism project. Therefore, I think that it’s one of the things that I’d like to do in the future.

Post 4_My Favorite TV show: Élite

It took me a few minutes to decide what it’s my favorite show in this moment, because in this last months I watched so many series in Netflix. But finally, I chose “Élite” to talk about. This spain serie narrate the story of three new students in a school called “Las Encinas”: Samuel, Nadia, and Christian. They went to this school because their old one was demolished, in this context, the first season tells the story of how one of the students murders, Marina Guzman, but only in the last episode you can know who did it. Now, in the second season that released in september 6th, we watched the things that happened after of all.
My favorite episode is the last one of season two, because Marina’s brother knew who was the real murderer. Now, I’m so exited and hoping for season three, because the real murdered wont be in jail (you will know if you watch both seasons haha).
I like to watch this TV show because it goes fast and I think that the storyline it’s really atractive. Besides, I like Ander (Guzman’s friend) because he is handsome.

POST 03_My Best Friend

My best friend is called Nataly, she is 21 years old too and this isn't the only thing that we have in common. I met her in the school, I studied all my life in the same school that it's in front of my house: San Sebastian de Quilicura's school. She arrived to my neighbourhood in 2009 and in that year she started to study in my school, but in this time I didn't meet her. In 2010, in seventh grade, she arrived to my class and we met. Since that year, we've been best friends and we have a very nice friendship, in fact, I consider her like a sister, because we can talk about everything no matter how deep it could be. 

If you ask me about the best memory I have with Naty I think I couldn't choose just one, because in these nine years we've passed for so many moments (good and bad), and experiences. One of them and my favorite moment with her is when we went to the marriage of her parents, it was so exciting because I knew that it will be a very important part of her life, we had a big party that night and I love to remember it!

POST 02_The Best Concert ever

When someone asks me about the favorite concert I've ever had, I always doubt if it's Lana del rey's live performance in Lolla 18' or Alex Andwanter's concert.

Like I write previously, in a post of english 3 about my experience in Lolla 18, I'll write now about Alex Andwanter's concert. It was november, when my favorite chilean singer, Alex Andwanter, was releasing him new álbum called “Latinoamericana”. For that, he offered a concert in Teatro Caupolican, and it was one week after mi bithday, so my sister bought me the ticket and gave to me my birthday’s day. We arrived to the line with my friend Consu at 5pm and in the stoop of Teatro Caupolican were about fourty people. When we entered to the place, we was in first line, so we can saw Alex only a meters of distance of us. Minutes before the show started,  we me to our Friends Dana, Jime, Gaby and Javier, so we were so much friends having fun together. If you ask me why it’s one of my favorite concert and why I loved it, it’s because it was a three hours of a continuos show, and he invited an Argentine band that I love so much too: Miranda. Besides, he played all of the songs that my frinds and I love. It was one of the best days of my life!

Post 01_A country I would like to visit

A country I would like to visit is Australia, because I think it is an interesting country to know.

About Australia I know that it's the largest country in Oceania and the world's sith-largest country by total area. Besides, It haves a diversity of landscapes to know like tropical rainforest in the north-east, mountain ranges in the south-east, and desert in the centre. 

In this country, I would like to visit its interesting buildings like the Sydney Opera House and trip in a forest to know more about its biodiversity. Australian's forests contains a lot of evergreen species like the eucalyptus and animals like kangaroo, koala and wombat.

I would like to study a master's degree in the University of South Wales and live there by a prolonged time because I think that it is one of the country with the best quality of life and oportunities to getting on so well in my field. Besides, I have a friiend living in Sydney that I want to visit so much.

Hi everyone!
I'm Danilo Miranda, and I'm 21 years old. I'm an architecture student from FAU and I'm in my 8th semester.
I think that my weaknesses in English  is to listen to, it has always been difficult to me to get all that the other is talking to me and to understand all. My strengths are writing and speaking, I like to practice this last one with my friends or my mom so much.
My expectations for this class is to learn and improve my listening and I'd like to practice my speaking with my partners. I think that we can have so much fun!
